The Bemus Point is an improvisational electronic duo featuring Creot Radio’s Inverse Room and
acid-jazz laptoppist and thereminist James Spitznagel. Infra Dig is their first studio album
together, and it features dozens of analog, digital, and software synths; electric guitar;
theremin; homemade noisemaking devices and circuit-bent toys; and boatloads of effects pedals–all
of which was spot-welded together in Acid 4.0 and overdubbed live. The result is halfway between
Jean-Michel Jarre and the future, between jazz and psychedelia, between rock and roll and the
string quartets of Dmitri Shostakovich. |
